After retiring from a 32-year career coaching Women’s Basketball, Sam returns to KTAB where he previously spent 13 years as a weekend weather anchor.  During his coaching career, Sam’s teams won over 70% of their games and he was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Coaches of America 600 Victory Club in 2005.

Having grown up in Abilene, Sam attended McMurry University and has his Masters of Education Degree from Abilene Christian University.

A people person, Sam enjoys studying the unpredictable West Texas weather and bringing it to you every weeknight.

When not at work, Sam enjoys cooking, golf, and spending time with his wife, Sandy.
