Salvation army officials say applications for help are coming in slowly.
The Salvation Army's deadline for holiday season assistance is quickly approaching.
Major James Parish says that has been a trend in the last few years.
Major Parish says they usually have about 1,200 families sign up every year, but so far this year, they are at 800 families.
They're asking that families who need a helping hand to contact them as soon as possible.
They don't want anyone to go without for Christmas.The deadline is November 13th.
