A young mother and father was found murdered in their South Abilene apartment. Their two toddler girls were found injured in the home with the bodies.

It was just a week after the murders of Nate Moss and Tina Moreno that the two suspects, Saniago Garza and Neil Simon Florez, confessed to the murders in a jail house interview.

Now, for the first time since the murders, Nate Moss's family sat down with me to talk about the horrible day, how they are coping, and how the two girls are doing.

"That was my baby," Nate Moss' mother, Rhonda Bowie, said just as we started the interview.

She could not hold back the tears. For her, it is mixture of pain and anger.

"I want them to get get life in prison without the chance for parole," she said of the two suspects, "I want them to suffer."

She invited me over to her home for an interview after I had been asking her all week.

She was joined on the coach in her living room by Nate's older brother, Scott Brooks, and Nate's Grandmother on the other side, who only goes by Granny.

It was Nate's older brother who actually found Nate and Tina on the floor of thier apartment. He is still in disbelief.

"I just keep thinking he will call me and tell me he is OK," Brooks said.

But it is something the family has to cope with for one reason and one reason only: the two little girls who were injured during the murders. According to Nate's mom, they're doing better and ready to come home.

"They are in a good foster home and they are being well taken care of," she said.
 

She also said the girls should be home for the holidays. They will stay with Tina's mom, but they have an agreement on visitation.

Both suspects in the murders have been charged and indicted on capital murder charges.

Nate Moss had a birthday coming up on November 14th. His family will gather at his grave sight. Nate would have been 19.
