Reported by: Laura Kellerman Friday, Nov 6, 2009 @04:28pm CST ABILENE, TX— Tempers flared at today's TEA Party Express rally in Abilene, in the wake of Thursdays deadly shooting at Fort Hood.
During the morning rally at Redbud Park, as speaker Mark Williams, author of Exposing the Socialist Agenda, referenced a chapter of his book on Islam, a woman in the crowd yelled, "Get them out of the military!" The crowd cheered. The speaker ignored the comment and continued. On his blog today, Williams called the shooting suspect, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, "the Ft. Hood Jihadist." "The authorities are doing their best to deny the truth that Major Hassan’s (the Fort Hood Jihadist) shooting spree was nothing less than an Islamic Terror attack by a sleeper," he wrote. "We now have 13 more bodies piled on the alter of Political Correctness." Hasan wanted out of the Army after being constantly harassed by others in the military and was called a "camel jockey," his family said. Arab-American and Muslim groups across the US have strongly condemned the shooting rampage in Ft. Hood, Texas. The Association of Patriotic Arab Americans in the Military, estimates there are about 3,500 Arab Americans serving in the military. Here is their statement: At a time of deep sorrow in the midst of this horrific tragedy, our thoughts are first and foremost with the Fort Hood shooting victims and their families. One can only imagine the unspeakable pain and loss they are and will be dealing with in the weeks, months and years to come.Related: |
