Reported by: Megan Dobbs Thursday, Nov 12, 2009 @08:22am CST Presidential daughters could ride their father's wave to success, find ways to make money off the family name, or land a fancy job for big bucks.
Jenna Bush Hager's first job was a low paying teaching position. "I think there's no more fufilling job than being in the classroom," said Hager. After graduating from the University of Texas, Hager went right back to school. This time, she was a teacher in the Washington D.C. area. "Explain a little more about that passion you have for teaching," I asked. "I love working with kids," Hager responded. "I love teaching." When NBC presented her with this new job, she was working as a reading coordinator inBaltimore. Even though she's now a television correspondent, Hager has no plans to leave the classroom. "I'll continue teaching," noted Hager. "I'd hate to get out of the classroom entirely." Hager hopes to bring her classroom experience into her television reports: sharing stories about the profession she loves. |
