Abilene police think a medical condition may be to blame for an accident in Abilene Monday night.

Police said a late-model Ford Mustang hit a signal light pole at the intersection of South 27th and Barrow Streets. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and may have been unconscious before the accident. He was taken to Abilene Regional Medical Clinic.

Police are still investigating.
