Ft. Hood shootingVictims of the Fort Hood Shooting continue to fight for their lives and recover.

Scott & White Hospital in Temple took in 10 of the victims from Thursday's shooting rampage, they tell KEYE TV of those, one patient has been moved to another facility and two others have since been released.

The hospital continues to care for 7 remaining patients and only two of the other five patients remain in the intensive care unit.

Gov. Rick Perry visited victims of the Fort Hood shooting who are being treated at Scott and White Memorial Hospital Saturday saying, "As we move forward from this tragedy, we can never forget the sacrifices our military men and women make in our defense. In the days to come, our priorities here in Texas are simple: support the families affected by this violence, support the criminal investigation of this incident, and continue supporting our military as we always have."

The governor is in contact with military and state law enforcement officials and the Texas Rangers are assisting federal officials with the ongoing investigation.

"I commend our military personnel on Fort Hood and first responders from state and local agencies for their reflexive response to a violent situation and the professionalism they displayed throughout," Gov. Perry said. "To those whose lives have been shaken by this isolated incident: you need to know that it communicates less about the safety of our society or the condition of the human soul, and much more about the way people look out for their neighbors in trying times."

Perry also enlisted help from the Department of State Health Services to send crisis counseling teams to the area to assist victims and their families.

Those who wish to donate blood should contact the Robertson Blood Center by phone at 254-285-5808 or 254-287-5938 before reporting.

Officials at Fort Hood tell KEYE TV, "The military is providing all blood and blood products for this incident but will not be accepting new donations until the status of our current supply is assessed."

Fort Hood officials say if the need for more blood arises they will inform the media.

The death toll for Thursday's shooting stands at 13 victims.
