Maria grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, FL before moving to Farmington Hills, MI when she was in junior high.  It was Maria's dream to work in media after auditioning for an Oscar Mayer commercial as a child.

She graduated from Oakland University in Rochester, MI with a degree in Journalism and a minor in Communications in May 2008 and has interest in returning to school to study Criminal Justice.

Maria's resume includes a three-year internship at WKQI-FM and an internship and freelance work at WDIV-TV and WJBK-TV, all in Detroit.
