At this point it really doesn't even matter to me. Osama could choose Napoleon Dynamite for VP and still get elected. :( I don't know, it just seems so hopeless this time around.

What's this McLame trash? I think I just read in another thread where you were discussing Christianity, Bible reading and other sort of God-stuff. I imagine you wouldn't use an Obama-ism like Osamaba, or another iteration of your Constitution Party candidate's name, would you.
I'll be SO happy when the elections are over with, when we can continue to live "normal" lives again. Or will we? What we do now is who we are, and what we will be in the future. Too bad.

M O U S E K E T E E R Sarah Palin-
The only women voters the choice might move is unexcited Republican women, who have been leery of McCain thus far.
Hillary had a lot of support from middle aged, non-college woman, but they stayed home instead of turning out for Al Gore and John Kerry. They are all about the economy. Those women are not social conservatives, nor are they pro-gun. They are definitely security conscious, and so they may have an issue with someone who has two years experience being a heartbeat away from a 72 year old man.
The next group, according to the Clinton adviser, is older female voters who backed Clinton in large numbers because they believed experience should trump change. They really wanted a more experienced person as President. It was a bonus for these voters was that Hillary was a woman, because it made them proud of her and themselves. But those women are social progressives. I don't see them turning to McCain because of Sarah Palin.
The third group, and some of the most diehard Hillary voters were affluent women who had risen in their professions at the same time that Clinton did. Those voters too tend to be quite liberal and unlikely to move to McCain-Palin.
So who are the women who might give McCain another look now that Palin will be at his side?
The Clinton adviser's final verdict on McCain's pick of Palin? "The whole thing strikes me as utterly ludicrous,” said a senior adviser to the Clinton campaign Friday morning.

Wasilla is a small town of fewer than 9,000. That’s roughly half the size of Brownwood. She first entered politics in 1992, winning one of 6 seats on the Wasilla City Council, before going on to become the town's mayor/ city manager four years later at age 32. After two terms in office, she earned statewide recognition by pursuing the nomination for lieutenant governor — which she lost. After a short period as whistleblower she was able to win the governors race campaigning on cleaning up government.
Palin has been accused of abusing her power to try to get her ex-brother-in-law fired as a state trooper.
A legislative panel launched a $100,000 investigation to determine whether Palin abused her influence by attempting to get her former brother-in-law fired as a state trooper. The panel is currently questioning whether Palin dismissed the state's safety commissioner, Walt Monegan, because he refused to fire her ex-brother-in-law, Mike Wooten, whose marriage to Palin's sister ended in a bitter divorce — and custody battle — in 2005. Palin has denied the charges, and says she did not coordinate the reported dozens of telephone calls placed by her husband and administration to Wooten's bosses.

The battle over marijuana became a minor issue during the 2006 Alaska gubernatorial race (which Palin won), with Murkowski claiming he had never smoked pot and Palin admitting that she had tried it. "I can't claim a Bill Clinton and say that I never inhaled," she said at the time.
In January, Sarah Palin wrote in a New York Times op-ed piece, "[polar bears] are worthy of our utmost efforts to protect them and their Arctic habitat. In August, Palin, who has long advocated opening the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to drilling, rallied her fellow Alaskan officials to sue Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne, arguing that extending protection to the polar bear under the Endangered Species Act is unwarranted and will hinder Alaska's gas industry and offshore drilling development.
We hear over and over how she said no to the “bridge to nowhere” but hear very little about pipelines to everywhere that she does endorse!
On August 27, Palin signed a bill to give a Canadian company a license and $500 million in government subsidies to build a pipeline connecting natural gas fields in Alaska's North Slope with existing infrastructure in Canada and to the continental U.S. Even if you could sell the idea to the American people, that it was needed, why outsource $500 million in jobs to Canada?
With more billions in profits to be made, we need to subsidize this with our tax dollar?
Todd Palin, a Yup'ik Eskimo, works as a production operator for British Petroleum on Alaska's North Slope. He took an unpaid leave of absence when his wife became governor, but returned to BP's payroll in 2007 amid whispers of possible conflict of interest.
Little known fact: in the late 90s, Sarah Palin was in the group Wild Orchid with Fergie from the black eyed peas! 12:34 PM August 30, 2008 from twitterrific
Little known fact: Before becoming mayor of Wasilla, Sarah Palin was a Mouseketeer with Britney, Justin and Christina Aguilera! 11:35 AM August 30, 2008 from twhirl

Just three days after infant Trig was born, and when she was mayor of Wasilla, she reportedly brought her infant daughter to the office regularly. The baby slept in a car seat under her desk while Palin worked. Will she be changing diapers on the desk in the oval office?
I would think that each job, mothering and running the most powerful country in the world would require your full attention.

Sparky, you are right about Obama emailing out this trash. It just so happens that my mother-in-law's cousin lives in Wasilla, strange I know, coincidence, even I was surprised, I knew he lived in Alaska, did not know where, and I was very surprised it is Wasilla, BUT ANYWAY, he can't say enough good things about Palin. I will copy and paste the email he sent to my mother-in-law. They say she has done wonderful things for Alaska as well as for Wasilla.
He made a very good choice. Here is the email....of cource I got rid of the names, ya know, privacy..........
This is from my cousin that lives in Wasilla, Alaska, concerning the GOP VP nominee, Palin from Alaska. Just for your infomation. K

She doesn’t take anything from anybody. She is very down to earth just like she appeared on TV. She has been great for our state. The good old boy system hasn’t flourished since she came into office.
We can’t say hi to her in the grocery store anymore (if she were in town and not out campaigning) since the Secret Service arrived. I don’t think she can even imagine how her life will change.
She will do a good job. She is smart, insightful and learns fast.

PLUS!!!!! How dare anyone from or supporting Obama say anything about Palin admitting smoking pot when Obama admitted to using drugs himself! Talk about being brainwashed by Obama and his speeches!
Obama has his sheeple all lined up, blind, deaf and dumb...........
