With all the taxes we pay, you'd think my boys could return from the first day of school without a laundry list of items parents must buy. Prior to school starting, we printed the list of required items posted on the AISD website and purchased everything on the list for both my boys. To my surprise, they each came home with a second list of things I need to buy....extremely frustrating. Maybe if AISD wasn't paying the high school football coaches a 6 figure salary this wouldn't be an issue.:mad::rolleyes:

I agree with you Slapper

Almost everyone I know has had to cut back on their lifestyle since the economy slowed down and fuel, food and energy prices went sky high, except the school board.

What they are doing is acting poor because they are angry that the voters kicked their latest attempt to raise taxes in the teeth:D

They wanted the bonds and got slapped down so now it's time to act poor, tell parents about all the things little Johnny and Suzie can't have or do now and it's all the mean tax payers fault for voting "NO"

Again, just one more reason I don't send my kids there;)

(although I still pay their taxes)
