Abilene Zoo

I love the Abilene Zoo. It is breezy, small, and very friendly. Everyone I come across seams to be very happy when we go.

Does anyone else like it as much as I do?

Yes!!! We have been there so much that we learned the names and history on many of the animals. Our favorite "pet" is Guido, one of the hyenas. I'm sure he does this with everyone, but when we call his name he gets up from his lazy nap and comes over to the fence to us. We always know it's him by the one cropped ear.

We're leaving for an assignment that is close to one of the top zoos in our nation, but we will miss the coziness of the Abilene Zoo. We have all grown to love the animals there as if they were our very own.

My family has a yearly membership and my wife and kids get the full benefit out of the cost for sure.

I have not been in several months, but when I went for my son's art class graduation, I was really impressed with the new snake exhibits.

we are going to the zoo, going to look call Guido, check out the snakes, and check out the family pass......going then off to feed the kids pizza! we are going to have lots of fun!

We surely called Guido, and he stirred around, and figure his nap was more important at that time. Even tho it was hot, it was great. I love the new features, especially the snakes. Have decided we are going to do our Christmas shopping at the gift shop. Wish more elephants would come in, but the rhino was cool also.
