In the town that I moved from, the weather man 'taught' the weather, he just did not forecast the weather. It was very interesting to watch him and I gained a lot of respect for watching the weather, in fact he grew to be an icon in the area. He even went to all the schools in the town and surrounding towns. Just a thought.

our weather folks also go to a bunch of schools during the school year.

I feel bad for them sometimes just because they work such long hours especially during the spring storm seasons, I'll bet they have a cot to sleep on when they pull an all nighter

They have to send a lot of time looking at models and getting their forecast ready, answering emails, forum post and yes visiting schools.

If they figured out what they made per hour, they might quit:eek:


If you are new to the area, just hang on, you will see all of the local personalities at the schools teaching our young folks.
