Many of you have read my post about Barack Obama and know what I think that an Obama Presidency would do to the country.
One word..disaster.
Now here is a partial list of why John McCain will not get my vote as well.
John McCain is a liberal disguising himself as a conservative. Changing himself for this November’s election just as a chameleon would. Remember the lesser of two evils is still evil.
First, regarding religion, McCain looms as no lover of Christians. Recall his comments about key religious leaders in 2000, calling them "agents of intolerance." And McCain's vitriolic vilification of Christians was not limited to a single occurrence, for he later said, "I must not and will not retract anything that I said in that speech at Virginia Beach. It was carefully crafted, it was carefully thought out." (Hardball, 3/1/00). More recently, however, McCain, positioning himself for 2008, has repackaged himself as pro-Christian, lauding key religious leaders and duping the devout.

Second, on the issue of gay marriage, in 2005 McCain opposed a federal gay-marriage ban (Los Angeles Times, 1/25/ and 3/8). Now, however, likely realizing that most Americans think otherwise, McCain says he supports a gay-marriage ban (Meet the Press, 4/2/06). Which is it? Given his penchant for progressive politics, we can only assume the former.

McCain is no friend to gun owners and the 2nd Amendment.
He has voted for several gun control laws in the Senate over the years.
{he} sponsored an amendment to S. 1805 on March 2, 2004 that would outlaw the private sale of firearms at gun shows. According to GOA, the provision would effectively eliminate gun shows, because every member of an organization sponsoring a gun show could be imprisoned if the organization fails to notify each and every "person who attends the special firearms event of the requirements [under the Brady Law]."

McCain is weak on border security. This is strange coming from a Senator from the border state of Arizona. His voting record puts him at odds with a great majority of his constituents. His has worked and voted with the likes of Ted Kennedy on many of these proposals
2007 – Sen. McCain was heavily involved in the backroom negotiations of S. 1348 with Sen. Kennedy and Pres. Bush – this was an amnesty (permanent residency & path to citizenship) for more than 10 million illegal aliens.
2007 – Sen. McCain cast several votes to protect the amnesty in S. 1639 and to move the amnesty toward a vote.
2007- Sen. McCain is a cosponsor of S. 774, the DREAM Act. The bill would grant in-state tuition and amnesty to more than a million illegal aliens under the age of 30.
2007- Sen. McCain is a cosponsor of S. 340, the Agricultural Job Opportunities, Benefits, and Security Act of 2007 (AgJOBS). This bill would grant amnesty to millions of illegal agricultural workers.
McCain is an enemy of the Constitution and the First Amendment.
[he] worked again overwhelmingly with Democrats to author and pass one of the greatest attacks on the freedom of speech. The McCain-Feingold bill. Under this law many groups like the NRA, and Christian Coalition can no longer warn voters of a candidate’s dangerous record within 60-90 days of and election without facing Federal Prison time.
John McCain would appoint liberal judges to the Supreme Court
Don’t fool yourself into thinking he would do anything different.
This is the man who said the Sam Alito was “too conservative”
“Mr. McCain is a convenient convert to the cause of sound judicial appointments. He has never paid much attention to judicial philosophy, backing both Clinton Supreme Court nominees – Stephen Breyer and Ruth Bader Ginsburg. He also participated in the so-called "Gang of 14," which favored centrist over conservative nominees as part of a compromise between President George W. Bush and Senate Democrats.
What's more, Republican Court appointments have often turned liberal. Earl Warren, William Brennan and Harry Blackmun were GOP appointees to the high court. So are "liberals" John Paul Stevens and David Souter, as well as centrists Anthony Kennedy and former Justice Sandra Day O'Connor. There is no reason to believe that a President McCain, once freed from the need to seek conservative support, would support more philosophically sound candidates. Even if he did, he would not likely prevail against a Democratic Senate majority. Ref http://www.bobbarr2008.com/articles/96/judges-are-no-reason-to-vote-for-mccain/
McCain betrayed the Republican Party when by joining the Gang of 14
Then Senate Majority leady Bill Frist threatened a filibuster breaking “nuclear” option if Senate Democrats didn’t give President Bush’s judicial nominees a straight up or down vote. Seven Democrat and Seven Republican senators formed an alliance. The Republicans vowed to support the Democrats by not allowing Frist this power.
This is just another display of the lack of true conservatism.
A “President McCain” would not champion the cause of any judicial nominee that might upset the other side.
As a born again Christian, I can see no biblical or moral obligation for me to vote for this man. The Bible instructs us to obey the law of the land. The Constitution is the supreme law of the United States of America. Both major party candidates in 2008 seem dead set on father undermining and stripping that document of the very key elements that made this nation great and our unique form of government so special. We will never be offered any better candidates if we keep voting for the terrible choices we have been given over the past few election cycles.
Psalm 12:8 says “The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.”
Many have told me by supporting a “third party” I am “throwing my vote away” on the contrary, it is those who continue to vote for evil who are throwing their vote away. The only vote that is wasted is one that is not cast.
