I was recently informed by another member that posting a link to a game could be misconstrude as spam. And rightfully so. He had no problem with it and said he enjoyed playing. I had never really thought of it tthat way. I get nothing from the site but most free games do have some sort of advertising attached. Just wondering where that line is drawn. I have other links to free games and useful programs but don't want to step on anyones toes. I would never knowingly post anything that would cause spyware or malware problems. They are sites that have been posted in my other forums and have been tried by many with no reported probs.
I am a member of dozens of forums (no political) and quite often run across useful utilities and such. In the rare case one of these sites are deemed to be something they are not, it is well documented in those forums. I'm just trying to help make this a fun place to return. More the merrier.

I would not consider it spam if you were just sharing a link to a game you liked and wanted to share.
I think spammers are people who hi-jack the forum with links to their businesses trying to drive web traffic to their sites.
in short .. they are trying to use this board to sell something without paying the owners of this site for advertising which they otherwise would be entitled to.

imho;)

As for a link being spam, either the administrator or myself check out each post. When there are links on there, I usually go to them and see what it is. Over last weekend, I deleted approx 10 spams that were posted and banned the "bots" that posted them permanently.

If when you post something like a game, newsworthy site, etc., just put what it is in the posting.

One thing that we would ask of ya'll is to please not over run the forums with games, etc.

Thank you in advance,

howdy ya'll
