Governor's email hacked for failing to have the proper security measures in place. That doesn't bode well for someone who wants to run your national security. Who wants to bet me that this isn't a way to try and have her emails deemed inadmissible in court due to being compromised. Trooper gate might very well hinge on those emails. Sounds like more wag the dog to me. Play it up for sympathy and bury an investigation. 2 birds with one falsehood.
This is only an opinion but very believable from a Carl Rove type campaign.

ok everyone, mark it down. WakeUpSheeple says that the criminals who broke into Gov Palin's private email and posted it on the internet, committed identity crimes.... it was Palin's fault, she made them do it

If a woman is walking to her car after dark and gets raped, is it her fault for not doing something to prevent it?

wheew.. you might need to change your username on here, I think it is YOU who need to wake up

I clearly stated only an opinion.
Why would a Dem. compromise the very thing that could bring her down. That sounds crazy to me. I agree, prosecute the perpetrators. Whoever they may be. And for your analysis, you are a funny guy. I can be also. If Rove is screaming rape, I might not come running.
Anybody who doesn't see how convenient this is, must be wearing blinders.
She's running for office, you mean nobody thought to secure her email?
Gives McCain something else to wad is finger about. Seems to be all he is doing lately.

those ladies on the View were mean to me

NO NO NO sir, you won't get me to defend those Republicans especially the NeoCon in Charge Karl Rove... not on a bet

I'm not giving any of those guys a break

We all take what we think is "reasonable" measures to secure our homes and papers. There is always someone our there who is looking to find a way in.
and when they do, it doesn't make it our fault

What the sad truth is with all of the political BS going back and forth from both camps, we the people are letting both of those morons running for prez get away with NOT DISCUSSING the issues and answering direct questions
which is just what they want. Win the election without ever having to say anything except what you have in a prepared speech you give about 12 times a week in an airport hanger!!

The voters are so stupid and lazy for letting them get away with it we get what we deserve on election day!!!!

word 'round the campfire is that it was the son of a democratic politician who was responsible for the hack...

personally, I don't care about any Repub/Dem nonsense...but I doubt the guy put his son up to it or anything...

but I sure would like to be a fly on the wall of that home if the story is true...the kid probably single-handedly destroyed his father's career...

pretty sad really...kid was just bored and probably thought it would be funny...but I do agree though, what was Palin thinking using a yahoo email account? I mean, this kid doesn't work for the NSA or anything...hacking a yahoo email account isn't exactly like hacking into the computer from the first Mission Impossible movie...

apparently none of the files were of any real consequence, but nevertheless, I mean, jeez? who uses yahoo mail, and especially if you are a politician...there are other avenues of communication...

Passenger, glad to have you on here!!!
Hope you hang out with us!

I read your post and I think you might have answered your own question.
She didn't use the account for anything of an relevance apparently
If she had used it for sensitive matters we might be looking at it differently

This is the way I see it......
#1....If she uses yahoo, then that tells me she is normal, small town, Bible loving, gun caring, American, who played her cards right, by being honest and cheap and working hard and now is in the VP spotlight. I think McCain had her in his sight a very long time ago and refused to let it leak, which shows great security to me, and set off decoys, which shows stradagy to me, and then let it out. Using the yahoo shows me she is still in touch with the heart beat of America, small town us.

#2....it was a set up by McCains people from the beginning to flush out the idiot dems, and they fell right into his trap. shows the mentality of Obama and his supporters in sitting having tea with the terrorist. wont work and just plain stupid and naive.

those are my 2 view on the whole yahoo ordeal.

I do not condone illegal activities regardless of motives. But now that its out there. Ms. Palin and aides use their private e-mail addresses for state business. On Feb. 7, Frank Bailey, a high-level aide, wrote to Ms. Palin’s state e-mail address to discuss appointments. Another aide fired back: “Frank, this is not the governor’s personal account.”

Mr. Bailey responded: “Whoops~!”

Normal is one of us using yahoo not a VP candidate.
I am not running for one of the highest offices in the free world. If my security measures are not up to snuff on my computer, 299 million people will not suffer from it. I think that does make this an issue. As far as being a trap, would not be surprised. But to think they wouldn't take it one step farther, as originally stated, I will agree to disagree.
Bring on some debates, I want to know these people warts and all. Not just bios and fact sheets. That is condescending.
Issues would be nice. Problem with that is one candidate will not discuss issues and her running mate sounds more like a Democrat every time he opens his mouth.

I am with you! I am waiting for the debates! I cant wait to discuss them with you as well! All this other stuff is important, but the debates will decide it all. It would be nice if the debates would include the 3rd party. That would make it even more exciting.

I've heard this line a million times. It's funny. People say they want "change" and don't want typical washington elite politics, but then complain when someone more "down to earth" comes along. Cop out....you simply don't like her, and if she single handedly cured cancer you'd find something to criticize her about.

:D Yeah, 299 million people will suffer from someone hacking into Palin's Yahoo account....seriously? LOL You act like they hacked the Pentagon. LOL Again, it doesn't matter what Palin or McCain do, you're going to criticize no matter what.....that's what this election has turned into. I'm so tired of the candidates bad mouthing each other. I wish they would just answer direct questions with direct answers. Another thing that's laughable is the Obama folks criticizing Palin's experience.....like Obama is any more experienced, ridiculous.

thanks sparky...I've been reading these pages for a loooooong time now, and still post every now and then, but I usually don't have that much time...so if I vanish every now and then, it won't be for uninteresting conversation...

yeah, I don't really think the email thing is that big of a deal either, none of the info obtained was life changing as far as I know, but there are a ton of people out there who see something like that as a security breach, y'know, like "How can she be vice-president if she doesn't know how to take care of secrets?!"...conveniently ignoring the fact that she didn't just hand out her password...it got hacked...can happen to any of us...that's why I advise using anything except yahoo (or hotmail) for that matter...

and I think its a good thing that she's 'one of us' too...just an average person who got taken advantage of...
