When my dad passed away in 2006, we had to pay through the nose and sinuses for one obituary write up.

But I see some who have passed on, and if they were well known, the obits on them can last for weeks! I'm thinking that the ARN is charging gold for certain families, while others, if they are "in", get free write ups for as long as they want. That's really unfair if it's true. I can't say for certain on that, but it sure looks and quacks like a duck to me.

My dad was as good as the best and a long time store manager for an 'M'System years ago. He should have gotten free obits for at least 2 days anyway.

Has anyone else noticed this? If you have lost loved ones and ran an obit, did they also take your right arm for a few words?

howdy ya'll

I thought obits were supposed to be a service to the families and to the community, free of charge.........at least that is how it was in some of the places I have lived in......A service......not a profit.

Hi, guys-

I'm so glad you're doing that, Konstantin. That's good! We need to expose that liberal rag for all it's worth. I can't recall the amount, it's been so long, but I think it was over $100.00 for a bare minimum wording. To add to the misery, the old lady at the front desk acted tacky.

They should be free, Howdy, that's right. Why they stuck it to us, I don't know, but talk about blatant prejudice!

Give 'em "heck", Konstantin! We're with you all the way.
