I can't believe these people are voting.

Just to be clear, I do not listen to or like Howard Stern
But this needs to be watched by folks so they know the cult following O'Bomber has among people
They don't know anything about him, or his views, they are just going to blindly vote for him... sick

they are blindly voting for him because he is not the status quo. That is all.

The Dems have a 9% approval rating, the Pres is not much better. There aren't many that are liked at all. I am willing to be thtat if a decent third party candidate would have run (Perot, for example) we would see an Independant president this year.

Too bad...timing is everything.

Me? I am sick of them all. I haven't seen a candidate i believe in since i have been of voting age.

Interesting point, because as I have stated, I am rejecting both major parties this year. Neither are fit to lead and they are taking the country in the same direction, one at just a slightly slower speed.

the republicans and the democrats might as well merge under the name "Omniparty Socialist"

It is going to take more than just one election cycle with massive voter rejection of the major parties in order to get a good third party, but we have to start somewhere.

for me voting the "lesser of two evils" is over.

Look at Roosevelt, even as wildly popular as he was as president, when he had a split with the Republicans, and joined the newly formed Progressive Party, he got about 1/3 of the votes on the third-party ticket

People have to be radical in their resolve for real change.

I like your point on the 'lesser of 2 evils'. I have going back and forth on the whole thing. Just getting the strong 3rd party just cant happen quick enough. I guess yard signs would get people to really start thinking, even emails. But there is almost nothing out there. Where do you start, before November.

It will be scary for the next 4 years, no matter who wins, but I have a feeling it will be obama.

I just had a thought, once obama get in, cant congress step in when he tries to burn the rest of our Constitution?

I will have to agree also, especially being that they are trying to get it legal for inmates to be able to vote so obama can set them all free!!!!! That makes me sick!

its not racial. the same folks that vote for him are the ones that voted for kerry, and Gore. give your fellow americans some credit.

that isn't to say that his race doesn't play a role....just a small role.

Given the abject failures of W, it should not surprise anyone that the GOP is on the ropes right now.

they are all criminals. they need to all be fired and replaced. then they need to make a constitutional amendment prohibiting political parties. Our founding fathers knew better, and cautioned against it.

The best line i have heard that describes this is "Facism you can vote for".

All I am saying is that is Hillary had won the nomination, those same blacks in Harlem that were interviewed wouldn't be as energized about Hillary as Obama

and if I'm wrong about that, I'll buy you something nice:D

You don't get out much do you? I've always thought that the vast majority of the public is incapable of critical thinking or reasoning. The public is pretty much "sheeple" who feed off of the media kool-aide. My feelings are confirmed each and every time I step out in public and look/listen to people in my surroundings (my fellow Americans). I took my family to Six Flags this weekend, and man that was a depressing eye openner. Educated, rational thinking people are the minority these days, and in my opinion "most" of my fellow Americans are just plain ignorant, so no I won't give my fellow Americans some credit. Let's get rid of MTV, VH1, and BET and then we'll give credit where credit is due.

can't disagree with that at all.

I also think that the news channels should go bye-bye. they are more like mouthpieces for politicians than news channels.

no I don't really, I worked hard to campaign against putting that trash into Abilene's water system back several years ago.
But some local dentist got on TV and told the people how great it was having by products from 1940's Nuclear experiments in the water and these people voted it in.:(

howdy ya'll
10-15-2008, 10:33 PM
I agree Sparky, there is a reason we spit out the fluoride treatment out at the dentist and and spit tooth paste out when we brush our teeth.

I was unaware that there was fluoride in the water.

bigfatfurrytexan
10-15-2008, 11:24 PM
You should read up on it. Flouride is highly toxic. The only reason that it helps tooth decay is because it is also toxic to the germs that eat the enamel away.

it destroys the brain and causes those who ingest it to be more docile and easier to control.

So they are putting in the water in hopes of controlling the people? I drink nothing but bottled water, I guess that is why my kids are so hard headed.....lol

bigfatfurrytexan

i don't know if that is why or not. The Nazi's started it, i believe, with that hope in mind. Maybe it was the CCCP....memory is foggy on it.

In general, we are poisoning ourselves with chemicals. If you have your blood tested, you will find several dozen toxic chemicals in it that you have absorbed from our "modern" environment.

howdy ya'll
10-16-2008, 12:16 AM
One of the worst chemicals we ingest in my opinion is soda. I am highly addicted to the great taste of coke. Sometimes I would rather go hungry than not have a coke. I realize this and forbid my kids from drinking it. I would love to kick that addiction, but it is so very hard.

Other than that, I am starting to can my home grown veggies and when I buy at the store, I try to by organic. It is hard tho at times.

I cant have sweets or chips in my house cause it is like ravaging wolves if I bring that type of treat home. It lasts one evening and then that is it. It is almost funny and worth bringing it on occasion.

depending on the source of the bottled water and how it is processed it could have fluoride in it as well.

get a TDS meter on ebay for about 20 bucks and check the level of all your water
I try not to buy anything over 150 or so

there isn't a nickle's difference between both major parties
I like to call them the "omni-party"

both are taking the country down, one just a little faster
I get a laugh at people saying we have to get out and vote for McLame or O'bomer will get elected.

I say, and the difference is......?

McCain had a chance of showing he even read the Constitution by not supporting the socialist wall street bailout plan, but the self described "Maverick" went right along with "W" and "Pelosi" and doomed my kids into even more national debt and devalued our dollar.

I don't know if George W is smart enough to be one of those.

He is a "compassionate conservative".. remember?

I guess that means letting Ted Kennedy write the new education bill, because that is one of the first things he did after taking office..sucking up to the liberals

oh, and then he got busy tightening up our border and cutting government spending..yeah now I remember

But I voted for him.. twice, scared of Gore and Kerry

not any more... I finally realized that the lesser of two evils is still "evil"

third party here until the Republicans can give me a better candiate

I could find as many rich people who know as little about politics but know who they will vote for president. And I would be all for an I.Q. test in theory but in practice it would discriminate against the poor and uneducated.
Maybe you should have to pass a test on the issues and candidates or watch a video before voting, at the least to get informed.

And yes we need a fluoride thread. I have researched much on this one.

maybe if you were presented with a platform to vote for, instead of a name.

it would force the candidates to present their platforms and leave the negativity alone.
