Obama campaign has attacked Mrs McCain AFTER HE SAID LETS LEAVE THE FAMILY OUT OF IT.
The more I watch Obama, the more I worry.

Obama wants the early voters because the mess on him is fixing to come out and show that he is Anti American! Then it will be too late! The vote will be cast!

worrying won't help anything... buy all the guns you can and stock up on ammo, food and water.. it's going to be rough for awhile

You are not kidding, I have a food storage, but not ammo. I also garden.
I have a good friend back in east Texas that told me how to purify water, another friend out in west Texas that made a solar crock pot. I think that was really cool. They make everything from bread to meals in it. But they both are ex military special forces.
It is fun to learn things like that.

That would be some good sht to know, Howdy. Lets start a survivalist thread. Even "the one" may not be able to pull us out of this mess.
On Ms. McCain-
I have been easy on her because their is so much more important sht I'd rather talk about, but if they try to turn her into some kind of saint, I got news for you.
A lot of news for you.

I do not doubt she has had some issues. I have read a lot of them as well.
Like I have said before, it does not matter which one gets into office, it is going to be bad. I just happen to think it will be worse if obama gets in, maybe not much, but no matter what, we are in for a rough ride.

she is irrelevant, unless she runs for office.
Just like Michelle Obama is irrelevant.

The difference is Cindy did not publicly announce that she would use her position to further a color of skin in society.

yup. just shows that Michelle Obama is not very smart. That is all. Since i am not voting on her, it is ok if she is dumb.
What bothers me is that Obama has stated that he takes queue's from her quite often.
of course, it may be time that a person of color be able to catch a break...but it is wrong going both ways.

does mccain rely on cindy's smarts? just curious? it seems she has said a few stupid things herself ..... also seems i have heard laura and george sound like serious duffuses more than once or twice. :)

yeah, but it is the race thing that gets me.
if Obama is elected it should be used as an opportunity to enrich the black community. Not push the issue of race further back from whence it came. Does that make sense?
I have a niece that is black (from her fathers side). She is a beautiful and wonderful girl, and i love her very much. When she went to school in the D/FW area she was ostracized. The black kids thought she wasn't black enough ("You sound funny" or "You talk like a white girl"). The white kids said she was black. So she didn't fit in very well. The beautiful part of it is that she wasn't bothered by it. :) The force is strong in that one, for sure.
So, back on subject....would Michelle Obama make race relations go backwards? By her words, i feel so.

i don't think we will go backwards, so again we disagree! i believe that just the fact that there is a possibility of Obama being elected is an advancement for all American's and takes us further towards uniting all shapes, sizes and colours of Americans.
we share some commonality furry1 as i married a beautiful brown skinned Hispanic girl back in 1970 in a rural west texas community. back then it just was not done ..... my father was an extremely prejudiced man but the funny thing was he didn't see her as "different." Bless his heart. My mother was an angel on earth and didn't have a prejudice bone in her body. me and my girlfriend have seen many positive changes in the past 38 years. Thank you Lord.
I am optimistic about our capacity for change and believe the Obama's will provide positive leadership for America and the world.

I think it did go a little backwards when Obama said he shuns his white roots.
That does not settle well with me. Also, he wants to take from the rich and give to the poor. Not to say anything bad about either race, but think about who he is in reference to. Who chooses to be rich and who chooses to be poor. I say choose, because it is a choice. You can choose to sit around and not make an effort, or you can get out and make it happen for yourself.
I am a firm believer that in pulling up your pants, get off drugs, get off welfare and get an education and change this country in that way. Obama is a good example of this, he just is going to be like the rest, sharpton, jackson, and keep the poor in the welfare state that is currently enslaving them.
Sorry, it makes no sense to me

i too am a firm believer in pulling up your pants.....etc, etc, etc .... i just don't happen to believe the majority of Americans in the middle class and the working poor are bum loafer, drug addict, ner'do-wells!
the middleclass overall have less disposable income than they had 8 years ago. there are more people in American sliding into the category of the working poor than there were 8 years ago. there are more people in America today without insurance than 8 years ago. there are more people in America today living in poverty than 8 years ago.
so in the words of Ronald Reagan are they better off today than they were 8 years ago?
it is indeed time to make some changes ...... the top is, in my opinion, a good place to start.

i didn't say stop at the top .... i said start at the top! now since both of the top dudes voted for the bailout of the wealthiest of Americans in order to save the masses .... i guess we are saddled with one of the them for next 4 years.
i believe "we the people" have to demand good responsible government ... if they founding fathers hadn't believed we needed government they wouldn't have created a government .... shoot furry1 i don't know all the answers. we have never been a true democracy or a pure capitalist country .... so we got to strive to be the best we can be with what we got to do it with ... when we identify corrupt worthless politicians we just gotta quit reelecting them.
you and i are never going to agree on everything that is right or wrong with this country ... should me and my girlfriend don't even agree on how the country oughta be run. do i like batting this stuff around in the forum .... eyup. am i going to change your mind or make a major impact on how the country is run .... hehehehe .... not likely but being retired i got a lot of time on my hands to participate in my hobby.
now where the heck are all the good posters in the big country forum .... me and you seem to be the major contributers ..... besides tx and frenchy need to have someone keep an eyeball on their antics in the MOF. :)

At work, earning a living, spending time with their children, and contributing to society. I participate in a couple of other forums (a motorcycle forum and a car forum) and it always amazes me when I see the amount of posts some people have in relation to the date they joined the forum. I think some people's whole life and/or spare time revolves around being on the internet. To each his/her own, but I have a life. I digress....

i type around 85 wpm (with zero errors, last time i tested a few weeks ago).
I can come in and generate a few dozen posts in a matter of a few minutes.
The rest of my time is spent killing people on XBOX live (until i find another job, that is....my call center recently closed down)

I keep my computer in my living room so it can be monitored, with kids, I feel that was a wise choice.
I start my day at 5:45 and spend the rest of my day cleaning, washing, drying, folding, holding hands, kisses, hugs, running to and from schools, grocery stores, dr visits, lunches, supper, baths, homework, hugs, tucking in, and if I am lucky, in bed by 10:00. Most of the time I like a little me time and I get that thru out the day and in the evening by checking for a possible conversation with another adult to get my ole brain in the world of other people.
I love to fix a big breakfast for those 6 mouths which consists of nine slices of banana (that is about 3 bananas), yogurt, with either oatmeal or scrambled eggs or grilled cheese or cream of wheat or a sausage biscuit.
On occasion, we will treat them to donuts....I am just a firm believer in a strong breakfast for a smart day. It must work, we pay those kids for every A, that is a lot of money when they are A students. But it is worth it for them to get A's
Sorry, had to brag a little, what kind of parent would I be if I did not.
I am just fortunate to have my employment in house, I get paid by kisses.
