My wife and I early voted over at K-Mart this past Thursday. I took my sons with me to show them how the voting process works and hopefully spark their interest in the political process (they're only 10 and 6, but it's never to early to start learning!). I voted AGAINST Obama/Biden, and I'll just leave it at that. Too bad Ron Paul didn't make it through the primaries. :(

Voted early also. How did you like the long lines?
Sure didn't see Mickey Mouse on the ballot. You just might have to do a write in. :)

And that is exactly why obama is wanting the early voting. He will be exposed to lost of things this next week and then it will be too late for the sheeple that have opened their eyes.

There was no line at all last Thursday at 6 pm when we went. Didn't see Mickey on the ballot, but the Liberterian party was well represented. McCain/Palin was the lesser of two evils in my eyes, and my wife simply voted straight republican. I won't be changing my mind or having second thoughts. After what Biden said during a speech in Seattle, my vote was sealed. I considered voting Liberterian (am I spelling that correctly?), but after what Biden said I wanted to cast my vote for someone who at least has a slim chance of winning. When Biden says things like

"And here's the point I want to make. Mark my words. Mark my words. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking."

and even scarier, this

"Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy. And he's gonna need help. And the kind of help he's gonna need is, he's gonna need you, not financially to help him, we're gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it's not gonna be apparent initially, it's not gonna be apparent that we're right. Because all these decisions, all these decisions, once they're made if they work, then they weren't viewed as a crisis."

Are you kidding me???? Biden is basically telling our enemies that this would be a great time to attack the U.S. because Obama won't have a clue as to what to do! If Obama gets elected we're going to be in a world of hurt folks....a world of hurt. Sure McCain doesn't have all the answers either, but you can bet your butt he knows how to defend this country....and he actually knows what it's like to be in the military....if I had my way having served in the military would be a requirement to run for president. Whoa....went off on a bit of a rant there....my bad! :o

here is another one that will scare the pants off of you..

From World Net Daily... http://www.wnd.com/index.php?pageId=69601

With all the reporters covering the major presidential candidates, it amazes me no one ever seems to ask the right questions.

For several days now, WND has been hounding Barack Obama's campaign about a statement he made July 2 in Colorado Springs – a statement that blew my mind, one that has had me scratching my head ever since.

In talking about his plans to double the size of the Peace Corps and nearly quadruple the size of AmeriCorps and the size of the nation's military services, he made this rather shocking (and chilling) pledge: "We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

Now, since I've never heard anyone inside or out of government use the phrase "civilian national security force" before, I was more than a little curious about what he has in mind.

Is it possible I am the only journalist in America who sought clarification on this campaign promise?

What does it mean?

If we're going to create some kind of national police force as big, powerful and well-funded as our combined U.S. military forces, isn't this rather a big deal?

I thought Democrats generally believed the U.S. spent too much on the military. How is it possible their candidate is seeking to create some kind of massive but secret national police force that will be even bigger than the Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force put together?

Now, maybe he was misquoted by the Congressional Quarterly and the Chicago Tribune. I guess it's possible. If so, you would think he would want to set the record straight. Maybe he misspoke. That has certainly happened before. Again, why wouldn't the rest of my colleagues show some curiosity about such a major and, frankly, bone-chilling proposition?

Are we talking about creating a police state here?

The U.S. Army alone has nearly 500,000 troops. That doesn't count reserves or National Guard. In 2007, the U.S. Defense budget was $439 billion.

Is Obama serious about creating some kind of domestic security force bigger and more expensive than that?

If not, why did he say it? What did he mean?

So far, despite our attempts to find out, the Obama campaign is not talking.

At this point all I can do is enlist your help – and the help of every other journalist who still thinks the American people have a right to know the specifics about a presidential candidate's biggest and boldest initiatives before the election. I also want to ask radio talk-show hosts across America to start asking this same question. I have a feeling if others join our quest, we might yet get clarification on this proposal from Obama.

Who will Obama appoint to administer this new "civilian national security force"? Where will the money come from? Where in the Constitution does he see justification for the federal government creating such a domestic army?

The questions are endless.

But before we can hope to get to the specifics, we need much more in the way of generalizations from Obama.

Certainly there have been initiatives like this elsewhere – Cuba, the Soviet Union, China, Venezuela, North Korea. But has anything like this ever been proposed in a free country?

I have a feeling there would be more questions from the press if I myself had proposed the creation of something as preposterous as a "civilian national security force" than there has been about this proposal by the presidential candidate currently leading in most of the polls. I'm quite sure I would be hung out to dry as some kind of Nazi thug. Meanwhile, Obama makes this wild suggestion and it is met with a collective yawn from the watchdogs.

Help me out here. What am I missing?

Can I get a hand?

it doesn't matter what it means. Unless they are planning to deploy this "civilian national security force" overseas, the only other plan would be for domestic use.

if that isn't scary, i don't know what is.

Now, other journalists ARE asking the right questions. Biden was so beat up by the tough questions that they have sworn off one particular journalist for ever. Seems that they want to control the news, too.

I am VERY uneasy about all this. BUY MORE AMMO.

I voted Republican, with the exception of the Sheriff's candidate. Because of serious, repeated, negative reports about my partie's candidate, I voted for the democratic candidate instead.

My nephew tried to pay my sister 5 bucks to vote for Obama. she declined.

I told her she should have told him "OK", taken his money, and voted McCain anyway. If he complained, call it the "Wealth redistrubution plan" that he was supporting.

Ron Konstantin is the Chairman. I worked on his campaign. I have the same kind of dyslexia he has. If not for him I would have given up on high school much less college. He is a great man of vision and integrity. I saw the plethera of evidence he is talking about. I believe it is all true. Preponderance of the evidence he calls it.

well the ARN is not a good news source for sure, I'll give you that much.

Many older folks rely only on newspapers and the 6 o'clock news and that is not good.
