Obama, talking about the civil rights movement and Supreme Court, says: "I think where it succeeded was to invest formal rights in previously dispossessed peoples so that I would now have the right to vote, I would now be able to sit at the lunch counter and order [and] as long as I could pay for it I would be OK. But the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth and sort of more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society."

IMO, anybody who wants Obama to get elected must be identified two ways.

1. They do not know, respect, or consider the US Constitution and the protections provided under it. They do not hold the the values of self reliance, self governing principles and the pursuit of property.

2. Anyone who supports Obama must be of a class of folks who do not want to work for their sustainment and would rather sit back and receive the benefits of someone else's work. That shows at best, low moral value and low self esteem. Obama clearly intends to move the USA even closer to a full y socialist state which has worked so well for our neighbors to the north who have as an example their "free" health care joke.

Obama is just hyping all of the redistribution of wealth to get the black vote. Once he is in office, that wont happen, he will leave the black community in shambles just like sharpton and jackson.

If he really cared about the black community, he would off incentives to get off drugs, get an education, and get a job, but he wont. Just like sharpton and jackson, he will encourage the crime and baggy pants and drugs.

People who do lots of partying and drugs, drug their children so they do not have to find child care. Children are addicted to drugs way before they ever into school.

Obama has no plans to change that.

President Bush is projected to run up a national budget deficit of $482 billion, probaby a lot more now. Cartoon came out Aug 6. This is a fiscal conservative? In fact, the only president in the last 25 years to not only not run up a deficit, but to actually leave a surplus, was one of them thar "tax-and-spend" Democrats. The simple fact is that Republicans say one thing and do the exact opposite once in office. Their real objective---above all others---is to put as much money into the pockets of the very wealthy people who they hang out with and who fund their campaigns.
These number's don't count money borrowed from Social Security, so the increase in the debt is considerably worse.
