This is too bad. Crime is so be and going to get worse.
HOUSTON—Investigators are trying to track down the suspects behind two home invasions in a north Harris County neighborhood.
The crimes occurred in the 12100 block of East Hardy near Aldine Mail Road.
The invasions left a 9-year-old dead and his father hospitalized.
Police said it started when four suspects broke into a house on the corner and tied up a woman they found inside. The suspects then went into her neighbor’s house. Ten people were inside that home. Police said some of those people were also bound by the suspects.
Police said the suspects fired off about 30 rounds as they were making their way out of the home. A boy, sleeping in his bed at the time, was fatally shot in the head. The boy's father was shot in the leg.
He is expected to recover.
Police said the suspects fled in a dark blue or black GMC Chevrolet extended-cab pickup.
