I read this article about the 20th Amendment sets Jan. 20 as the date for the president's inauguration and that some think it would be better if a new pres took office much sooner, like Dec 1.

Why now, just because obama is in? It has been fine over the past umpteen years and now they want to change it for obama? People have their expectations set too high on the poor man and he is going to be deemed a real looser if he is unsuccessful in anything he does or if anything goes bad when he brings the Guantanamo prisoners to America or absolutely anything else.

People who have supported Obama will not allow him to be blamed for anything that goes wrong. It will be blamed on the outgoing administration or others around him. It will be interesting to see if he is held to the same standard as Bush was. Even though it was stated that Bush was given bad information and based his responses to that, some continued to blast him and hold him personally responsible.
Talk has already begun that some of the "change" that was promised will not take place. Politicians in general say what they think the people want to hear, not the truth.
