Here is a link to a site sponsored by petfinders. They are having their annual shelter challenge and there are 4 shelters from Abilene represented. I have been clicking daily on their 'bowl of food' link for about 3 years now. If you're a pet lover this site is really nice. Lots of stories and photos.

Right now, one of the Abilene shelters is currently in 27th place in the state. So why not take a few clicks a day to support our shelters in every way we can.

Rescue the Animals in Abilene is moving up the polls in the state of Texas. Currently at 21st place! Let's all help them move on up!

I see a healthy competition here. Rescue the animals here in Abilene has slipped from 16th back to 23rd. Quietly and quickly coming in to the top Texas 25 and surpassing Abilene is the San Angelo Purrs and Puppy Breath shelter, rising to #16!

There is a new challenge starting yesterday. Abilene's Rescue the Animals is currently in 2nd place in the state. Finishing tops in the state would mean a good donation to their organization. Please take a few minutes each day and go to the site and participate in the SHELTER CHALLENGE!
