Well, the repaired antenna is doing it's stuff.

Since the engineers have KTAB/KRBC back up to full digital power, we're now getting a 98 on KTAB and 95 on KRBC, give or take a little due to conditions. That's getting it done! We're getting them on a little inside antenna on the TV and are on the s.w. part of town.

Thanks for the note about the KTAB and KRBS signals being back up to full strength, although today we are down again. We're not certain what the problem is. A tower crew is on the road headed this way, an engineer from the transmitter company is flying in as well. We don't have any idea right now as to when we will be back on the air. With the analog shutdown we are now totally off the air. The FCC will not allow us to turn our analog back on again, so we are sitting by patiently waiting for the engineers to make repairs. Again, we are sorry for the inconvenience to our viewers. This outage should not affect Suddenlink cable customers, but does affect Dish Network customers and other cable companies which use our over the air signals.

Sounds good, Tom. I've been keeping up on all this. Sounds like Murphy's Law had you guys pegged on this deal. Feel so bad for ya'll, and will say a little prayer things will be working again soon. I wish some of these posters could be a bit more understanding. Some things can't be helped and life isn't perfect all the time.

You're welcome about the note. It will be hot and going again soon I betcha.

Thanks again, Tom-

No problem. The report from the engineers this afternoon: an engineer for the transmitter and antenna company got on site about noon today. The tower crew has found a problem on the tower with the transmission line. There is no guarantee, but they are hoping to be able to make repairs and have us back on the air sometime on Saturday.

KTAB is currently broadcasting on KTXS Channel 12-3. We thank the folks at KTXS for allowing us to use one of their digital frequencies during this outage. So TV viewers will need to rescan their converter boxes or digital TVs to pick up the channel. During this time HD is not available with our over the air signal on Channel 12-3

KRBC remains off the air.

Both KTAB and KRBC are airing on Dish Network, however HD is not available.

Both KTAB and KRBC continue cablecasting on Suddenlink Cable TV in Abilene. Other cities with Suddenlink may or may not have our programming, depending on how they receive and distribute our signals.

And again, we do apologize for the outage. We thank all of our viewers for your patience with us during this digital transition.
