The City of clyde has paid for ads on KTAB and the only people seeing them have cable in Abilene! This is a waste of taxpayers money! The City Council should request there money back and put the ad on radio.

Dadburn! That digital signal is something else isn't it. Now they can take a signal and send it to the county line and it stops right there!! What will they think of next?
Now seriously, how can the folks in Clyde not be able to see the ad on KTAB? The signal doesn't just stop when it gets to Clyde. Maybe this would be a better question to ask you cable provider and not KTAB/KRBC.

Our General Sales Manager Chris Larum has this response:
KTAB is on cable as well as Dish Network which covers 93% of KTAB's market DMA.
Of the remaining 7%, most of them can see KTAB's over-the-air signal with a converter box, although it may be necessary for them to re-scan or adjust their converter box antenna.
Since the City of Clyde is trying to reach the most people (and not just in Clyde) for the fewest dollars it can. KTAB is one of the most efficient forms of media in the area, still better than any radio station.

Just curious but what are they advertising? Haven't seen it yet, we have Dish, but don't watch much except the news. Many years ago when I had my own business, I found that advertising on the local stations was a pretty good value for the results, but maybe things have changed.

I have a sincere question then Tom: Why couldn't General Sales Manager Chris Larum respond instead of having you do it???
Maybe the same reason that the news/weather/sports folks don't ever post anything anymore. No benefit to them so why bother....

Thanks for the reply, Tom. I hope their 4th is a success and brings in a few bucks to the community!
