A Haskell man will go to trial soon, accused of stealing hundreds of heads of cattle through non-payment.
Mandy Tol Mayfield, 39, was indicted on two felony charges by a Haskell County grand jury.
The Texas Cattle Raisers Association alleges Mayfield stole 130 head of cattle from a cattle owner in Munday. He's also charged with first degree felony for failing to produce more than 600 head of cattle to a feed yard company after financing the cattle with it, according to the TSCRA.
"We deal with numerous cattle and equipment thefts that involve fraudulent investment deals or bad bank accounts," said Scott Williamson, the TSCRA special ranger who is heading the investigation.
Mayfield faces up to life in prison if convicted.
