It never ceases to amaze me at how the media will use scare tactics to scare the daylights out of viewers.
They are proclaiming as true, that there is a flu epidemic going around! Bull-oney! The night we were in the e.r., there was not one person coughing, sneezing or anything. Some looked better than we did. Some had summertime injuries, casts etc. No one who tended to my wife said a word about a flu epidemic.
I don't buy it. It's sensationalism. Call it severe allergies, then you got it. Both of our allergies here have been extra rough, and there have been days that yes, it felt almost as bad as flu. Some days, my eyes were so messed with pollen, I couldn't focus on an elephant.
When they start saying everyone who walks out their door will get a broken leg on a Tuesday at 2:14p.m., that's when I sell my TV. I don't doubt that's what we'll be hearing next.:D
