I made the mistake of submitting a picture for the weathercast, one mistake I'll never make again.
For one my name was mispronounced, and the other, I was going to tape the segment and Suddenlink's "great" DVR fouled up and I didn't even get to see the picture.
No' mo' of that.

Another reason to switch to DirecTV.
Made the switch 6 years ago when it was Cox.
Haven't missed a thing.

Yeah, and lose reception during storms, when you need it the most. No thanks, I'm sticking with Suddenlink....no ugly/goofy dishes attached to my house and my reception is perfect, even during the worst storms. Suddenlink isn't perfect, but better than "dishes".

I've had DirecTV for 10 years and I don't understand why people complain about loosing signal.
Maybe 3-4 times an entire year and mainly during the spring we have a rain out last for 3 minutes at a time
And I think I have only had one price increase in all of that time and I get a ton of channels for under $30
Many of my neighbors who got DISH complain of the rain outs all of the time
Don't know what the difference is but I'm happy
Regardless Honda's complaint was about his name being pronounced wrongly and a bad DVR

What, you expected this thread to stay on topic? :D I don't understand why they couldn't pronounce his name properly...."Honda" isn't a hard name to pronounce! ;)

Edwards could've pronounced Honda, but my real name which isn't here, he couldn't, which was much easier. Oh well, as I said, I learned my lesson.

I have DirecTV also and have had great service for the past 12 years. However, I must switch to Dish very soon -- the reason is to get local channels before Feb 2009. DirecTV can't provide local channels, and won't. Grrrrrrrrr........ And here in the country, I need something other than rabbit ears with a converter box -- too iffy. So.... I hope Dish is not too bad. The channel lineups seem good.
About Weather: I also wish the local weather dudes would "teach" the weather as someone posted. The locals are OK, but need more time to go into more explanations. But, I guess it's just a "little thing," like the Dyess traffic signals!!!!!!
