Awesome. The fishing is so limited here if you want to stay close to home. We do great at Kirby, but we are just tired of the snakes. Phantom is ok. We have heard the Brazos river is good. But we can't find a place to put our little boat in it.

Sweetwater was supposed have restocked their lake, and Colorado City State Park has boat ramps and there is also a power plant out there so the water is perfect for giant fish. The lake in Colorado City is clean, we like to swim there too. I have not gone to Sweetwater lake yet. I am still waiting for them to work out all the little quirks since the lake filled back up last summer. Try Colorado City, it is easy to get to, and with that power plant, big fish.

Thanks. Hopefully we'll get to go this weekend. Probably stay local. Either Kirby or Phantom. Probably Kirby. The snakes are horrible, but we have better luck there. I'll let you know

We go to Spence. There are pictures of recent catches of black bass as big as 22 lbs. I caught an alligator gar :rolleyes:and a buzz :D, a little sunburn :(but nothing to take home and fry up.

There's nothing like a good fish fry. But my idea of camping is a motor home with a bathroom and an air conditioner.

Yeah, I agree.
I still tent camp once in a great while, but since we got our travel trailer it sure is better on the ole' back and bringing the satellite dish with us isn't too bad either:D
