I am a cat owner (a dog owner as well) and have never had a problem with my cat going outside during the night (only time he likes to go out). Although I was blessed with the coolest cat on the planet (as I hate cats before I got him), he likes to go outside and just hang out near the patio... Doesn't go off terrorizing the neighbors or anything. Never had a complaint from a neighbor, and until I do, I will continue to allow him to go outside whenever he wants.

I have two indoor cats. As much as I love my own, the ones that show up to use my backyard as their own personal litter box infuriate me.

The best cats are the ones that are spayed and neutered. They live longer, they do not spray anything and they do not wonder away from their home.

They also try to avoid fights. They also do not reproduce and then you have to worry about giving away kittens.

I do love cats, I do love dogs.
