Exclamation Can you fix your website....

Can you fix the website so Google Chrome users can visit without having to open up IE or Firefox to view it? It is all garbled to heck with Chrome.

Thanks!!

Smile Google Chrome

Thanks for the note, I've tried using Chrome as well and have found a lot of sites which don't display properly, and I've had to tweak (see below) so our site is not in the minority. It's interesting to see how each web browser operates, all of them have good and bad aspects.

Our site is best viewed with the latest version of Internet Explorer (which is used by the majority of our users) or the latest version of Firefox. Those are the two programs that our programmers concentrate on when programming the site, and that's just because of their popularity. It just gets down to how much time they want to spend on the individual browers. And Chrome is still pretty well in development. I myself use Mozilla Firefox 3.0.

I pulled the following data to give you a snapshot of our BigCountryHomepage Users and what browser they currently use:

58% use Microsoft Explorer 7.0
16% use Microsoft Explorer 6.0
13% use Mozzila Firefox 3.0
6% use Microsoft Explorer 8.0
1% use Safari 3.2.1

Then from there it tapers off to lower than 1% including (in order):
Miscrosoft MSN Explorer
Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.2
Safari 3.1.2
Microsoft MSN Explorer 9.0
Microsofe Internet Explorer 6.0 (AOL)
Google Chrome 1.0

From there about 20 other versions of the above.

The folks at Google do provide some tech support information for Chrome not displaying websites properly at the following address:

http://chrome.google.com/support/bin...n&answer=95290

From what I've been able to find out, it seems a lot of the display issues have to do with web page encoding and fonts. I hope this helps.

Yee-haw! I use IE7! Guess I'll stay with what works. I had heard of Chrome, but didn't know if it would fly or not.

Hope you're doing good, Tom. Good to see ya'.

The reason I dumped Firefox 3 is because of the browsers ability to get slower and slower everyday. =) Chrome is a 2 second launch each and everytime. All the sites I have ran into so far that have issues are just minor ones that you can just shrug off (Even Microsoft.com and MSN load fine lol). This one is however unbearable! It seems that the top link bar all falls to one side with the links repeating 3 times. It also covers the page up. Its just frustrating that I have to load up Exploder just to visit =)
Do you want a screenshot?

Thanks
Shane

Shane, thanks for the screenshot. Our developers are aware of the problem. In the meantime we do recommend you use the latest versions of IE Explorer, Firefox, or Safari to view the site.
