Local Vietnam Veterans gathered to remember the Tet Offensive. This 1968 battle marked a turning point in the US involvement during the Vietnam War.This year marks the twenty second annual reunion for veterans in the big country, and what began as a gathering for a little more than 30 veterans grew into an event for hundreds.
Veterans and their families gathered at the West Texas Fairgrounds for a day of entertainment and rememberance.
The Tet Offensive took place during the Lunar New Year holiday, which is known as Tet, the most important holiday in Vietnamese culture, and was supposed to be a day of cease fire.
