Roscoe ISD board members will discuss plans to open a new early-college high school at Monday night's meeting. The program will allow students to earn technical certification and an associate's degree by the time they graduate high school.
Roscoe ISD, in conjunction with Sweetwater ISD, received an $80 thousand-dollar grant from the Texas Education Agency to begin the program. It is not limited to high school students; preparation can begin as early as 7th grade.
District officials say they are looking at housing students on the TSTC campus within the next two years.
