The American Cancer Cociety kicked off their Relay for Life 2009 on Monday. Teams have already been formed for this year's relay, which will be held on the 24th and 25th at Abilene Christian University. Participants for the event gathered Monday for an information session and a chance for the teams to get to know one another. Each team made up of eight to 15 people, will take turns walking through the night to raise money to fight cancer.
American Cancer Society is the second largest contributor to cancer research in the United States.
The Relay for Life cause is meant to celebrate recovery while commemorating those lost to cancer.
