Severe Weather Awareness Week Coming

Weather can turn bad here in the Big Country in an instant during the spring and next week is when residents should prepare. Texas Governor Rick Perry has proclaimed next week as Severe Weather Awareness Week in the state.
Each day, the National Weather Service will focus on a specific weather event such as tornadoes and flooding. Residents should also take time to develop severe weather plan of action.The National Weather Service in San Angelo plans to conduct a practice tornado warning drill next Thursday (February 26) at 9:30 am as part of the Severe Weather Awareness Week.
