Military deployments can be mentally and emotionally challenging for service members, especially when it comes to readjusting to everyday life.

SSgt. "There was a period of time where I didn't want to deal with anything.  I didn't want to clean the house.  I went straight to working in pediatrics, and I saw how spoiled we are here."

There are support groups available for airmen at Dyess to help them become reacquainted with everyday life again.

A national report issued Sunday said troops and their families are not all getting the mental health care they need, because of limited availability.  The United States government is working on plans to improve that.

More than 140 airmen from the 317th Airlift Group returned to Dyess from deployment on Saturday, February 21.
