Abilene's Got Talent: 6pm Update

Throughout Thursday afternoon, Big Country residents have tried to "wow" judges and land a spot on the hit "Americas Got Talent" television show. The "Abilenes Got Talent" competition kicked off around 4 p.m. at the Mall of Abilene. Officials estimate about 150 people showed up to compete.
"There has definitely been talent out here," said judge and KRBC anchor/reporter Maria Oliver. "It will be a hard decision to choose who to send to Houston. However, one thing is for sure: Abilene will be represented on "Americas Got Talent!"
Winners will be announced at the end of the compeititon. One lucky act will be selected to perform in front of "Americas Got Talent" producers in Houston.
