A Southeast Texas mother was arrested after her son was found wandering outside, and deputies made disturbing discoveries in the home.Neighbors in Jasper, Texas reported seeing the toddler wandering outside and called police. When deputies knocked on 28-year-old Tamara Jones' door, she said she didn't know where her son was, according to Jasper County Sheriff Mitchell Newman.
The deputy also found a small amount of methamphetamine in the house and cages full of snakes. One of the snakes was dead, Newman said.
Jones is charged with endangerment of a child by criminal neglect and possession of a controlled substance.
The child was turned over to his grandmother by Child Protective Services.
