Updated: March 23, 2009
The city of Merkel has issued another boil water notice.

Citizens are advised to boil all water used for consumption including: ice-making, cooking, and teeth-brushing.

The city says it suffered a leak in a 14-inch main water line.

Local citizens should boil for at least one minute before using.

The boil water notice will remain in effect until further notice.
