Updated: March 31, 2009
A new resolution from the Development Corporation of Abilene approved temporary housing for the AISD STEM academy.

According to the city of Abilene, DCOA will help AISD negotiate a sublease for a space on the first floor of the Grant Building on Pine street.

The space is now used by Texas Tech.

AISD will eventually house the magnet school on the ACU campus, but space will not be available until 2010.

The school is set to open this fall.
