Strong winds brought down a huge tower light at Shotwell Stadium, causing quite a bit of damage.

Officials at Shotwell say they believe the light took a tumbling fall either last night, or early this morning.

The light is one of eight tower lights at the stadium.

They're the stadiums original lights from when it was constructed in 1959.

There are no worries for football fans; AISD says any changes that need to be made for safety's sake will be done before football season starts up again.

Officials say this is the first time wind has knocked down one of their light fixtures.
