APD: Brothers Beats Up Sister

 On Sunday, at about 8:18 P.M., Officer Wilson responded to the 3200 block of Rebecca Lane in reference to an intoxicated subject. The driver, an 18 year old hispanic male, had passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle with the car still running and in gear. The subject was intoxicated and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated With An Open Container. He later provided a breath specimen that was almost two times over the legal limit. This incident marks the 204th DWI in Abilene since January 1st.

Later, at about 11:05 P.M., Officer Cox responded to a disturbance call in the 1700 block of Sewell. According to the victim, her brother, a 19 year old hispanic male, had kicked in the door to the victims residence and had punched her in the face. The victim had a swollen right eye, marks on her back, and a knot on the back of her head. The suspect was arrested for Burglary of a Habitation (to commit assault/family violence).
