Officer Collins was called to the 900 block of Judge Ely at 7:30 last night for a disturbance. When he arrived on scene, the manager of the business stated that a 30 year old black female had taken several items from the store without paying for them. The suspect stated that she had paid for the items. The manager showed the surveillance video of the suspect placing 6 bottles of body wash into her purse. She was arrested for theft and transported to the Taylor County Jail.

Then at approximately 10:00 last night Officer Belver responded to a suspicious odor call in the 100 block of South Pioneer. She contacted the special operations division who obtained consent for a search. A search of the residence revealed over 17 grams of methamphetamine. A 46 year old white female was arrested for manufacturing and delivering a controlled substance.
