The number of confirmed cases of the H1N1 flu is on the rise in Texas.  The Department of State Health Services today reports that there are now 28 confirmed cases in the state.

Guadalupe County has the most cases with nine, followed by Dallas County with six, Tarrant County five, Starr County two and one case each for Cameron, Comal, Denton, Fort Bend and Harris Counties.

The total includes a child from Mexico City who died earlier this week in Houston.

The DSHS is asking hospitals and doctors to be especially alert for other possible cases.
