The Cooper Cougars did not play a game last week, but that doesn't mean they took the day off.

Head coach Mike Spradlin says his team went to work in the weight room and on the field to get ready for district play.

The Cougars start District 4-4A on Friday against Hereford.

The Cougars make the longest trip in District 4-4A up to Hereford. It's about 270 miles up to Hereford.

Cooper and the Whitefaces face each other Friday night at 7:30.
