The Abilene High Eagles are back in the 2nd round of the Class 5A playoffs after a 1-year absence last year.

The Eagles won their 10th game of the season on Friday night at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.

Some were wondering how head coach Steve Warren's team would handle playing in the best stadium in the world. The handled it well and handed Arlington Lamar a 42 to 10 loss.

The win sends the Eagles to the 2nd round of the Class 5A playoffs for the 8th time in the last 9 years.

Abilene beat El Paso Coronado last year 56 to 18 for the Area championship. They try to make it 2 wins in a row over the Thunderbirds on Saturday.
