Crosstown Showdown In Basketball

The Abilene High Eagles won the latest version of the basketball crosstown showdown.

The Eagles led Cooper by 10 points, 28-18, at halftime, and they pulled away in the 2nd half.

Head coach Henry Willis' team scored 37 second half points to the Cougars 31 to win by the final of 65-47.

Abilene High will be back in action on Friday in Lubbock against Palo Duro.

Cooper's next game is Saturday in New Mexico against Hobbs.
