With nice weather here and more to come, it might be the right time to spruce up your yard.

If you're considering planting a tree for the upcoming spring season there are a couple of things you need to know.  State Gardners are teaching people about the benefits of grooming and pruning.  The Taylor County Extension Office held the West Central Texas Urban Tree Symposium to educate the public.

Many learned that a tree's life and appearance can be extended by just a few simple steps.  A healthy tree isn't just a nice addition to your yard, it is helping our environment as well.

The extension office is always willing to help if you have any questions.
