The town of Albany is one that focuses on culture, family, and most importantly, history.

When Fort Griffin was established,  the settlers could move to the line of frontier where they thought they were safe from the Indians with the military protecting them.

In the late 1800's, the town of fort griffin was known as one of the most wild towns in the west, filled with soldiers, saloon girls, and ranchers. When the post was Abandoned, the town withered away. Now, over 100 years later, Albany resident Clifford Teintert is trying to keep history from repeating itself.

With fund raising events, and lots of support from Albany residents, Teinert hopes his Fort Griffin restoration will continue so that all residents and visitors can always remember where Albany came from.
