Boarding up to protect and serve---airmen from Dyess Air Force base are on the way to Southwest Asia today.

Around 100 members the members of the seventh bomb wing are headed to Southwest Asia.

Dyess airlifters have been deployed to the war on terror forward areas, but the bombers have not had to serve extended tours away from home for the last three years.

The Dyess airmen will be there for the next six months.
